A Peaceful Mourning - Ryan Simpson

Strong in faith but lacking hope,

A flower feeble in the snow,

Its beauty missed ‘til summer comes

But illness was her final foe.

She never asked for more than love

Yet left with no one by her side;

No fear of death across her face

When winter winds whispered goodbye.

Tears cascade down gowns of black

And hit the ground with silent grace.

The loss inside brings sighs of pain;

The coffin buried, not erased.

Life drowned by memories of life.

Death drowned by memories of life

Amongst the stars she rests at last

A husband with his loving wife.
